there used to be "boss mode" or something on an msn messenger before, but is there anything like this on the newest version of windows live?
yes there is in the upper right hand corner there is a _ that takes it to system tray so you can still be loged on
everytime i get this problem, i only get like 40% done and then it says blablablablablablabla my sharing folder ( system folder ) which is from Windows Live Messenger.... how do i fix that problem?

don't run your messenger program when you are defragging make sure it's completely closed from your system tray too
try 2 restore ur PC/laptop (to an earlier time)

No, of course not. Windows Live and Yahoo are competitors. The only integration between the two is that if someone who is using Y! Mess want to talk to you who is using Live Mess, you 2 can chat together using different Messengers. That's it. Anything Yahoo! doesn't work for Live Mess, and anything that works for Live mess won't work for Yahoo! I happen to use both and prefer Live Messenger much more.
Ive had windows Live Messenger for about 2 months but 3 days ago it stoped showing up on my taskbar and when it does show up on my taskbar it will automaticaly log in (as normal) but will freeze at one point or another. Ive reinstalled it and repaired it about 10 times but the same problem keeps on accuring. Any ideas??
more then likely a conflict. or uninstall though add/remove ,reboot then download an older version. or look for some other program using power or another messenger.

if you want it to show up in your task bar, in run, type msconfig,press enter. and click on startup. check the msn live messenger box. it will show up next time you restart. as for the freezing, turn the automatic log in off. i know it saves time but it freezes mine too if it does automatically

Yes. Take out Windows Messenger from your Block list. So, Norton will allow connection for it.
