Ok....I have Windows messenger at work and i'm leaving soon ( from full time to one day a week)....i want to delete it so that i stop signing in automatically (i have tired everything and it doesn't work...and no i dont have the little box to "keep me sign in " check!)
Anyway i want to delete it and reinstall it....I've tried to take it out from "add/delete windows component" and it doesn't work. I dont see it in the regular "add/remove program" so i'm guessing it comes with windows xp....
Is there a way to completly remove it from the computer? And then reinstalling it?

It should be under "Add/Remove Programs" on the Control Panel. Windows Live Messenger is different from Windows Messenger, which comes bundled with XP. You had to download live messenger, so it should be very easy to delete.
Edit: I think you're confusing Windows Messenger and Windows Live Messenger. They are two different things. If you want to disable Windows Messenger, which is bundled with XP, go to this link.

Hope this helps.
How do i delete windows live messenger from windows xp?microsoft frontpage internet explorer
I just wanted to suggest changing the password.
If the password that's stored is "wrong" then it will be impossible for it to sign you in.
That's just an idea because I changed my password this morning and that's what happened. I can't help you with the uninstall, msn is tricky sometimes so I really coudn't say, but I just wanted to make my suggestion for if all else fails.
I don't understand how it can be signing you in if the box isn't ticked though? Is that right? Go to options and try to reverse it there, it must be saved somehow
