Where can I find the latest version of windows live messenger?

Whenever I go to msn.com and click the messenger icon it just opens up the version of windows live I already have. I've seen people with more advanced and nicer looking versions, but I haven't been prompted to install any new updates or versions. Could they possibly have different, unsafe beta versions?

google.ca and just type in windows live messenger....usually the top answer is the most updated one, so you just click install and your all set

Windows Live Messenger 8.1 is the newest and best looking one in my opinion.

Go on googles n type windows live messenger 8.1 n then click on the top one.........u will get the downloads but just see whether ur computer system is upto date............
Go to http://www.windowslive.com and download the new enhanced Live suite. Blog writer, Cool Messenger!!! :) , Photo Gallery etc.. you can select while installing what you need by selecting custom install that you if u just need messenger you only get that.
