Recently my msn has been jusst freezing and "not responding" so i have to close it and then the end now box comes up and i have to restart windows live messenger and sign in again.
I dont know whats causing it though, i dont have many programs running really and its a fairly new laptop.
does any one know whats up with it and what i can do to stop??

Uninstall it then reinstall it worked for me had the same problem
mine did that aswell i couldnt find a solution so i just deleted the account i had and made a new one there was nothing else i could do...

Alternatively, you can use MSN Web Messenger or the built in Windows Messenger.

happened to me i had 2 unistallyit and put back on aprtly my mate told me thats its a virus
uninstall it and just use msn online. http://www.e-messenger.net/
make sure the time on your laptop is correct. msn didnt work for me until i did this.
